TechFlow news, at the X Space event "Bybit Hack Incident - The Largest Theft in Human History" hosted by OSL, OSL Executive Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs Jason Diao pointed out that global digital asset exchanges are caught in a dynamic trade-off between "security and user experience." Regulated and licensed exchanges like OSL place absolute priority on security, differing from offshore exchanges that prioritize user experience based on commercial logic. In the digital asset space, there is no perfect solution that can address all aspects simultaneously, so trade-offs are inevitable.
Jason Diao emphasized that all regulated exchanges adhere to the same regulatory standards, meaning they meet uniform high benchmarks in legal compliance, asset custody, anti-money laundering (AML), and risk control. While they may sacrifice certain aspects of user experience, this approach forms the foundation for long-term trust and sustainable development.
