TechFlow reports, on February 22, Arthur Hayes, founder of BitMEX, questioned Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin on X regarding the Bybit hack: "Will you support rolling back Ethereum to help Bybit?"
Hayes added: "As a major ETH holder, I believe ETH ceased to be money after the 2016 The DAO hacker hard fork. If the community wants to do it again, I would support it—we already voted against immutability in 2016, so why not do it again?"
He further pointed out: "No one questions DeFi operations on CZ's computer (referring to BNB), so why don't we question ETH (i.e., Vitalik Buterin's computer)?"
