TechFlow news — On February 20, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik stated during a text-based AMA hosted on the Tako platform that he is disappointed by some people's view that Ethereum is insufficiently inclusive for not respecting "casino" applications on the blockchain.
Vitalik said that if the blockchain community holds such morally inverted views, he would lose interest in participating in blockchain. However, he observed that such opinions mostly appear online, while in-person interactions with the community reveal that most people still share the same values as before.
Therefore, he believes he has a responsibility to work together with the Ethereum community toward building the world they envision. To achieve this, the Ethereum Foundation may need to move away from strict neutrality at the application layer and begin selectively supporting specific projects.
