TechFlow reported on February 20 that, according to Cointelegraph, dYdX Foundation CEO Charles d'Haussy stated at the Consensus 2025 conference in Hong Kong that the crypto industry may witness a "DeFi Festival" in September this year, which could usher in months-long growth for DeFi.
Charles noted that unlike the "DeFi Summer" of 2020, which lasted only three months, this new wave of growth would be more sustainable. He expects the upcoming expansion to provide users with greater access to DeFi, with established projects attracting new users due to their credibility.
He also said that as the market matures and infrastructure improves, institutional participation and capital inflows will increase. However, prior to that, he believes the market may experience a volatile summer and a minor crisis.
