TechFlow news, on February 20, according to Jinshi Data, a person familiar with the matter said the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will lay off about 6,700 people on Thursday. This restructuring could leave the agency short-staffed during the critical tax filing season. The IRS has approximately 17,000 probationary employees.
