TechFlow reported, according to The Block, that blockchain developer Fluent Labs has raised an $8 million seed round led by Polychain Capital. The round was joined by institutions including Primitive, dao5, and Symbolic Capital, with participation from prominent investors such as Balaji Srinivasan.
Fluent Labs is building an innovative Ethereum Layer 2 solution that will support applications based on WebAssembly (Wasm), the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) within a unified environment.
Over 60 projects are currently building in the Fluent ecosystem, including the on-chain derivatives protocol Thales. Fluent Labs currently has 17 core contributors, and the funding will be used to expand its engineering team and deploy infrastructure required for its testnet. The project aims to achieve atomic composability across virtual machines, enabling developers to build applications spanning multiple ecosystems.
