TechFlow reports that on February 19, according to CoinDesk, DeFi platform MANTRA has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), enabling it to offer virtual asset trading, brokerage, and investment management services in the region. John Patrick Mullin, the company's CEO, stated that this marks a key step in bridging decentralized finance with traditional finance.
Previous report, MANTRA reached an agreement with UAE real estate group DAMAC Group to tokenize at least $1 billion worth of assets. Additionally, in 2024, the platform brought Google on board as a primary blockchain validator and infrastructure provider, collaborating on a real-world asset tokenization (RWA) accelerator program.
