TechFlow news, February 15 — Andre Cronje, co-founder of Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom), posted on X saying, "In the past, we would argue with each other over issues like a feature not affecting assets being controlled by an external account, or a contract being managed by a multisig instead of a timelock. Now, presidents and nations are 'bottom-feeding' us under completely illegal models."
When asked whether he regrets returning to the crypto space, Cronje responded that this is merely a result of broader adoption. The meme coin craze does not conflict with his work: "The people participating in meme coins are a group that doesn't even care about DeFi, let alone blockchain. So meme coins aren't taking away any attention, because these participants were never our user base to begin with."
