TechFlow news, on February 14, according to Bitcoin Magazine, the U.S. state of Georgia has proposed a new bill that would allow the state treasury to invest in bitcoin. Senate Bill 178, introduced by Senator Dolezal of District 27, Senator Beach of District 21, and Senator Dixon of District 45, seeks to amend Section 3 of Chapter 17 of Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia concerning state depositories. The bill would authorize the State Depository Board to permit the state treasury to invest in bitcoin. It also sets limits on investment amounts and establishes provisions regarding the secure handling and lending of such assets.
