TechFlow news, according to CryptoSlate, Japanese healthcare provider SBC Medical Group Holdings announced on February 12 its plan to purchase 1 billion yen (approximately $6.7 million) worth of bitcoin as part of its long-term asset allocation and inflation hedging strategy.
The company will conduct the purchase through its U.S. holding entity on the Coinbase platform, with the transaction expected to be completed between February and May 2025. This marks another instance of a Japanese firm adopting bitcoin on its balance sheet, following Metaplanet Inc.
