TechFlow news — On February 12, according to Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett, three sources familiar with the matter revealed that Donald Trump has selected Brian Quintenz, head of policy for a16z's crypto division and former CFTC commissioner, to serve as chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
In a statement, CFTC acting chair Pham said she previously collaborated with Quintenz on several key initiatives during his tenure as a CFTC commissioner, and believes he will achieve similar success in advancing cryptocurrency and innovation. While the White House has not yet issued an official announcement, CFTC officials have confirmed the appointment internally.
