TechFlow reports, according to Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett, that Binance and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have jointly filed a motion with the court to pause their litigation for 60 days. This marks the first request to suspend a cryptocurrency-related lawsuit since Mark Uyeda became acting chair.
The parties stated that the SEC’s newly established cryptocurrency task force could impact the case and facilitate a resolution. After the 60-day period, both sides will submit a joint status report assessing whether the pause should be extended. Terrett expects other non-fraud cases, such as those involving Ripple, Coinbase, and Kraken, may take similar actions.
