TechFlow reported on February 11 that Jesse Pollak, lead of the Base protocol, said on social media, "I want Coinbase to list as many tokens as possible, including tokens from Base and other networks.
More first-to-market projects, more high-potential tokens, more meme coins, more utility tokens, more cultural tokens, more DeFi tokens, more networks. We need more of everything. Scarcity exists under the current model, but what we need is abundance. This is the top priority."
On how to scale this: implement DEX integrations with a blacklist approach (instead of whitelist), incorporate user ratings. But this will take time. In the meantime, the Coinbase Assets team is also scaling up and improving its processes to list as many tokens as possible.
