TechFlow news, on February 10, according to The Block, privacy technology company Proton announced that its self-hosted Bitcoin wallet, Proton Wallet, is now officially available to all users, supporting iOS, Android, and Web platforms. Previously, the wallet was only accessible to early adopters.
Founded in 2014 in Switzerland by CERN scientists, Proton offers privacy-focused services including Proton Mail, Proton VPN, and Proton Drive, with over 100 million users worldwide. Proton stated that the wallet aims to enable users to securely and conveniently hold and trade Bitcoin, while also supporting BTC transfers via email and employing end-to-end encryption to enhance privacy.
