TechFlow news, on February 10, according to Jinshi News, U.S. President Trump stated he will announce a 25% tariff on all imported steel and aluminum on Monday. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump said the tariffs would apply to metals imported from all countries. He did not specify when the tariffs would take effect.
He also said he would announce reciprocal tariffs on countries that tax American imports later this week. These tariffs, Trump noted, would not take effect on the same day as the announcement—possibly Tuesday or Wednesday—but would be implemented soon.
The previously planned 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico had been postponed until March 4, following commitments by both nations to help address border issues. Economists have warned that the tariff policies could raise manufacturing costs in the United States and exacerbate inflationary pressures.
