TechFlow news, February 8 — According to Cailian Press, U.S. President Trump said during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba that he plans to unveil "reciprocal tariffs" measures next week.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump stated the move aims to ensure equal treatment with other countries. While not specifying which nations would be affected, he said the action would impact "everyone." Trump also mentioned he is considering imposing tariffs on automobiles and plans to levy tariffs on imported goods including steel, pharmaceuticals, oil, and metals over the coming months.
