TechFlow reports that Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin posted on social media stating he would gain more respect for Apple and commit to purchasing an additional Apple device (currently owning only AirPods) if the company publicly pledges to exit the UK market when faced with unavoidable encryption-breaking demands.
Earlier report: The UK Home Office issued a "technical capability notice" to Apple, demanding access to users' encrypted data by requiring backdoor access. According to sources, Apple may choose to discontinue offering encrypted storage services in the UK rather than compromise its global user security commitments.
