TechFlow reports, according to official information, BNB Chain has launched a community governance proposal to combat malicious MEV activities, calling on block builders, RPC nodes, validators, and DApps to jointly prevent "sandwich" attacks.
The proposal advocates removing bad actors—revoking permissions from malicious block builders—and voting to eliminate validators that tolerate such behavior. Additionally, BNB Chain plans to upgrade its mempool in 2025 to prevent transaction frontrunning.
Currently, BNB Chain has partnered with major wallets including Trust, Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, and Mathwallet to enable MEV protection features for users against sandwich attacks. The proposal is now open for community voting and encourages users to report MEV attackers and avoid using insecure RPCs.
