Fama, predicted on the Capitalisn't podcast that Bitcoin will go to zero within 10 years. He argued that blockchain-based financial systems require excessive computing power, making them unsustainable.
Fama pointed out that cryptocurrencies violate basic rules of a medium of exchange due to their high value volatility. He also questioned Bitcoin's positioning as "digital gold," stating that without practical use, it would have no value.
