TechFlow news, on February 6, according to NBC, lawyers for the U.S. Department of Justice have agreed to temporarily restrict staff associated with Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing information on the Treasury's payment system.
Previously, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had authorized DOGE access to the system, which processes over $5 trillion annually, including Social Security payments and government payroll checks. Senior Treasury official David Lebryk has resigned over the matter.
