TechFlow reported on February 5, citing a latest research report from JPMorgan via Coindesk, that Bitcoin network's average monthly hashrate in January increased slightly by 1% year-on-year to 785 EH/s, while mining difficulty dropped 2% month-on-month. The report noted that the weekly average hashrate at month-end stood at 781 EH/s, down 2% from the end of December.
Analysts stated this situation is relatively rare and represents a modest positive for Bitcoin mining economics. Notably, the current network difficulty remains 25% higher than pre-halving levels in April last year. In terms of revenue, miners earned an average of $57,200 per EH/s in daily block rewards during January, an increase of less than 1% compared to December.
