TechFlow news, on February 3, according to Jinshi News, SoftBank Group announced a partnership with OpenAI to jointly develop and sell an advanced enterprise artificial intelligence called "Cristal Intelligence."
SoftBank will spend $3 billion annually deploying OpenAI's solutions across its group companies. SoftBank and OpenAI also announced the establishment of a new joint venture named "SB OpenAI Japan," which will exclusively promote OpenAI's enterprise technologies to large enterprises in Japan, with both parties holding 50% stakes.
SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son stated that he believes artificial general intelligence (AGI) will become a reality within less than 10 years, and expressed his conviction that "AGI can first be realized in large enterprise businesses." He added that achieving this goal "requires a substantial amount of capital," funds that "currently only large enterprises possess."
