TechFlow news — On February 3, according to Jinshi News, U.S. President Trump plans to hold phone calls with Canadian and Mexican officials on Monday, which could ease market concerns over tariffs, said XTB analyst Katherine Brooks in a report. Brooks stated, “These calls might bring some hope for reaching an agreement, if not now, then in the future.”
She added that the prospect of these calls may keep traders optimistic. The Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso remain weak but have rebounded from their earlier multi-year lows. However, some analysts warn that such hopes could be dashed. Analysts at ING said in a report that Trump’s “last-minute tariff reductions” seem unlikely.
