TechFlow reports on February 3 that official news revealed David S. Goyer, screenwriter of "The Dark Knight" and "Blade," has launched a blockchain- and AI-powered sci-fi project called "Emergence," aiming to disrupt the traditional Hollywood model through a decentralized creative platform. The project went live on Story's Incention platform on January 28, using smart contracts to record community contributions to intellectual property and distributing payments via cryptocurrency.
Goyer created the foundational story framework and plans to build an open universe akin to "Star Wars" or the Marvel Universe, inviting both professional and amateur creators to contribute. An AI assistant named Atlas will review submissions and ensure narrative consistency.
Approximately 500 creators have already joined the testing phase, with plans to release comics, animations, novels, and film and television productions within the next five years.
