TechFlow news, February 1 — According to CryptoSlate, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan said in a letter to clients that Bitcoin's traditional four-year cycle may have come to an end. He believes that with the influx of institutional investors and the maturation of market structure, Bitcoin's price volatility and cyclicality will become smoother and less significantly influenced by halving events.
Hougan noted that the Bitcoin market is entering a new phase dominated by macroeconomic factors and long-term investment strategies. As the crypto market evolves, traditional market cycles may no longer apply, signaling a shift toward broader institutional integration and sustained investor interest.
