TechFlow reported on January 31, according to The Block, that the Arkansas Senate Committee on Urban, County, and Local Affairs rejected by a vote of 6 to 1 a bill that would have banned cryptocurrency mining operations within 30 miles of military facilities. The bill also included an emergency clause allowing the state government to revoke operating licenses for permitted cryptocurrency mining facilities located near military sites. The bill stated that this measure was necessary to ensure the health and safety of Arkansas and its citizens.
