Previously, The Washington Post referred to Musk as the "shadow president" of the United States due to his active intervention in discussions over U.S. federal government funding bills, which has led to threats of a government shutdown. Poll results indicate that 53% of American respondents disapprove of Musk taking on an important role in the Trump administration, while 39% expressed opposing views.
