TechFlow news: In Q1 2025, Sahara AI will launch DeepSeek-R1 as one of the flagship models for its AI Studio, alongside other AI models, and has already rolled out an early access program for developers.
DeepSeek was founded in 2023 by Liang Wenfeng, an alumnus of Zhejiang University. Sean, CEO and co-founder of Sahara AI, is also a Zhejiang University alumnus, later pursuing advanced studies at Stanford University and the University of Southern California.
DeepSeek-R1, a reasoning expert model with 671 billion parameters, excels in mathematics, coding, and logical tasks, leveraging reinforcement learning techniques. Currently ranked 4th on Chatbot Arena, it is the only open-source model in the Top 10 (aside from DeepSeek-V3). Its open release further advances the democratization of cutting-edge AI technology, closely aligning with Sahara AI's vision.
