TechFlow news, January 27 — The Lao National Digital Technology Group (LADT) announced the completion of a $3 million seed funding round. The round was led by HashKey Capital, with participation from Web3Labs and prominent strategic investors across ASEAN countries.
The funds will be used to advance the regulatory compliance and internationalization of USDA, the ASEAN stablecoin. LADT is developing NewPay+, a Web3-compliant payment platform based on NewPay—the national third-party payment tool of Laos. Built on USDA as its underlying settlement currency, the platform will support hybrid payments combining fiat and stablecoins, and provide a compliant cross-border payment clearing system.
