TechFlow news — On January 27, AdsPower officially announced on the X platform that its security team detected a breach incident on the evening of January 24, during which hackers distributed malicious code that led to the tampering of certain third-party browser extensions.
AdsPower stated that its technical team immediately severed the channel used by the hackers to distribute the malicious code and removed all potentially compromised plugins. The company has reported the incident to law enforcement authorities in Singapore and received an official acknowledgment. Security teams from SlowMist, CertiK, and other organizations are providing technical support and assisting with the investigation.
The official recommendation is for users to promptly transfer assets from their old wallets and reinstall the official plugin via the Chrome Web Store.
