TechFlow News, January 22 — Ethereum core developer Eric Conner announced on social media that he is stepping away from the Ethereum community: "I'm no longer an '.eth' anymore. Maybe one day those in leadership positions will realign with the community, but for now, I'm choosing to leave." Conner had previously criticized the Ethereum Foundation (EF) for lack of operational transparency and disconnection from the community, arguing that the Foundation could cut 80% of its budget without affecting Ethereum's development, but currently exhibits a "anti-victory and competitive mindset."
Conner stated he will shift his focus to the intersection of crypto and AI, believing cryptographic technology is essential for building an open, trustworthy, and fair AI future, and will advance related infrastructure development through projects like Freysa AI.
