TechFlow reports on January 15 that, according to official announcements, BNB Chain has launched its fifth TVL incentive program, offering BNB staking support of up to 5% of new TVL for the top five staking or restaking protocols, with a maximum support cap of 20,000 BNB per project. Concurrently, KernelDAO, a restaking protocol managing $2 billion in assets, announced the establishment of a $40 million ecosystem fund to support the development of the BNB Chain ecosystem.
The incentive program will run from January 21 to February 21, 2025, with a total staking support cap of 50,000 BNB and lock-up periods ranging from one to three months. The BNB Chain Foundation will return staking yields to the community through marketing campaigns or airdrops. KernelDAO additionally committed to allocating 5% of its token supply to fund ecosystem development. Marwan Kawadri, Head of BNB Chain EMEA, stated that the initiative aims to position BNB Chain as a multi-network interconnected ecosystem and accelerate mass adoption of Web3.
