TechFlow reports, on January 14, according to Cointelegraph, the digital identity project Humanity Protocol has announced the establishment of the Humanity Foundation in preparation for its token generation event (TGE). The foundation's founding directors include Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands; Mario Nawfal, founder of IBC; and Yeewai Chong, former Morgan Stanley investment expert, who will serve as interim CEO.
Unlike its competitor World (formerly Worldcoin), which uses iris scanning, Humanity employs palm print recognition technology for identity verification. Founder Terence Kwok stated that palm print recognition is more user-acceptable while remaining equally secure and reliable. The project enables users to verify their identity while protecting personal data privacy through decentralized identity (DID) and zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-proofs) technologies.
