TechFlow News — On January 13, SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer @im23pds warned on social media that emails leaked due to an attack on OpenSea's email service provider have been widely circulated and the compromised email addresses are now fully public.
Users are strongly advised to be aware of the associated risks and remain vigilant against phishing emails and other potential cyberattacks. The exposed email addresses include that of CZ.
According to OpenSea’s official announcement on June 30, 2022, an employee of its email delivery provider Customer.io abused their access privileges to download user email information and shared the email addresses with unauthorized external parties. OpenSea has reported the security incident involving its email provider to law enforcement authorities.
