TechFlow reported that Base ecosystem DEX Aerodrome announced on X platform, according to Dexscreener data, the daily trading volume on Ethereum L2 network Base surpassed Ethereum mainnet for the first time on January 8, reaching $2.3 billion, compared to $2.2 billion on the mainnet.
In addition, the WETH-USDC pool on Aerodrome currently exceeds the combined total of the top six WETH pools on the mainnet, amounting to $698 million.
The trading volume of the cbBTC pool on Aerodrome is nearly twice the combined volume of the top four BTC pools on the Ethereum mainnet.
