TechFlow reported on January 8 that, according to crowdfundinsider, Doha Bank has launched Visa Commercial Payments (VCP) in Qatar, becoming the first bank in the region to offer this service. The move aims to streamline corporate payment processes, enhance security, and align with the Qatari government's goals for digital payments. VCP will help business clients improve cash flow, eliminate manual processes through automated reconciliation and detailed virtual card payment information, and deliver a seamless payment experience via an intuitive user interface.
Dimitrios Kokosioulis, Deputy CEO of Doha Bank, said the collaboration will further strengthen the bank's long-standing partnership with Visa and meet evolving payment needs. Shashank Singh, Vice President and General Manager for Qatar and Kuwait at Visa, also emphasized the importance of this partnership for digital innovation in the financial industry.
