TechFlow news, January 7 — According to an official announcement, the Solana Foundation has proposed SIMD-0215, aiming to scale Solana's infrastructure to support billions of user accounts. This proposal introduces a new hash called the "Accounts Lattice Hash."
The "Accounts Lattice Hash" uses homomorphic hashing to maintain a secure and efficiently updatable hash of the entire account state. It enables: (1) each block to include a hash of all accounts, not just those modified in that block, and (2) the removal of the Epoch Accounts Hash.
