TechFlow news, on January 6, bitcoin mining company Core Scientific released its operational and production data for December 2024. The company mined a total of 6,595 bitcoins (BTC) throughout the year, with 974 BTC produced in the fourth quarter. In December alone, self-operated mining machines generated 291 BTC, while hosted miners contributed 18 BTC. As of the end of 2024, the company operated approximately 171,000 bitcoin mining machines across its data centers, achieving a total hashrate of 20.1 EH/s, with self-operated machines accounting for 96%. Additionally, through grid-supporting initiatives, the company reduced power consumption multiple times and delivered 30,985 megawatt-hours of electricity back to the local grid.
