TechFlow news, January 6 — According to Cointelegraph, Brendan Greene, founder of the online battle royale shooter game PUBG, said in an interview with IGN that his developing metaverse project Artemis currently has no plans to introduce NFTs. Greene believes blockchain, as a digital ledger, may play a role at some point in the future, but for now the team will focus on game engine development and creating engaging gameplay content.
The Artemis project is divided into three phases: the first, titled Prologue, is a realistic survival game trained on NASA Earth data, scheduled for release in 2025; the second, unnamed project will focus on large-scale multiplayer worlds; and the final phase, Artemis, aims to build a "3D internet" where players can create and interact across different worlds.
