TechFlow reports that on January 3, Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon pleaded not guilty to fraud charges in the United States during a hearing at the Manhattan federal court. On Thursday afternoon local time, Do Kwon submitted his plea before U.S. District Judge Robert Lehrburger of the Southern District of New York in Manhattan. Following this, the prosecution and defense are scheduled to hold a status conference on January 8, 2024, to exchange evidence and discuss pre-trial motions.
Previous report, Do Kwon faces nine charges including securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and commodities fraud, related to his role in the 2022 collapse of the Terra ecosystem. The Prime Minister of Montenegro stated on December 31, 2023, that the extradition process of Do Kwon to the United States had been completed.
