TechFlow news, according to the Yuzhou Court official account, the Yuzhou People's Court publicly announced yesterday (December 27) the verdict in a telecommunications and online fraud case. The court found that defendant Wen Mouhe, together with several accomplices, used fabricated identities to chat with foreign individuals, gained their trust, and then induced them to purchase cryptocurrency as part of a fraudulent scheme. During the period, they sent a total of 54,360 fraudulent messages, and Wen illegally profited 2,400 yuan.
After comprehensively considering the facts, nature, circumstances, and degree of social harm of Wen's crime, the court ruled under relevant provisions of the Criminal Law that defendant Wen Mouhe was guilty of fraud, sentenced him to three years' imprisonment, and fined him 20,000 yuan. After the announcement of the verdict, Wen stated in court that he would appeal.
