TechFlow news, December 27 — According to The Block, an analyst from market maker Wintermute said the trend of companies adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets could continue evolving into 2025.
Jake Ostrovskis, an over-the-counter trader at Wintermute, stated: "I think next year, as institutions begin incorporating Bitcoin on a corporate level, this will become a significant driver. You might also see small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) joining in."
He pointed out: "Right now everyone is talking about the impact of ETFs, but the real driver is that you can now get pension funds and sovereign wealth funds putting cash into the market." Traditional hedge funds have been waiting for exchange-traded funds to provide access to the cryptocurrency market, and now they are moving quickly as they spot opportunities.
Ostrovskis predicted some companies will follow MicroStrategy's approach—but with Ethereum instead.
