TechFlow reported on December 25 that according to CoinGape, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a joint proposal on December 23 to extend the deadline for challenging document disclosure disputes until March 31, 2025.
Previously, Judge Illman denied Kraken's request for the SEC to produce three categories of documents, including those related to Bitcoin and Ethereum, the SEC’s public statements on digital assets, and internal trading policies. Kraken plans to refile a narrower document request in accordance with the court order. Matthew C. Solomon, the attorney who previously successfully defended Ripple's CEO, has joined Kraken's legal team.
