TechFlow news — On December 23, according to CoinDesk, CF Benchmarks, a crypto index provider, released a new report forecasting that investment advisors will surpass hedge funds as the largest holders of U.S. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs by 2025, with their holdings expected to exceed 50% of total ETF assets. Currently, hedge funds hold 45.3% of Bitcoin ETFs, while investment advisors hold only 28%.
The report noted that as the U.S. wealth management industry—valued at $88 trillion—begins embracing crypto assets, net inflows into BTC and ETH ETFs in 2025 will surpass the 2024 record of $40 billion. Additionally, CF Benchmarks predicts that the tokenization of real-world assets will exceed $30 billion in 2025, and in the stablecoin sector, Ripple’s RLUSD and Paxos’ USDG will challenge USDT’s dominant position.
