TechFlow news, December 23 — According to tech media TechCrunch, Elon Musk's AI company xAI is testing a standalone iOS app for its chatbot Grok. The app is currently being tested in select countries including Australia, offering access to real-time data from the web and social media platform X, generative AI capabilities, and image generation from text prompts.
The report states that xAI is also preparing a dedicated website, Grok[.]com, allowing users to access Grok online. Currently, logging into the site with an xAI account displays a "Coming Soon" message. Earlier, tech media The Verge reported that to strengthen competition with OpenAI, xAI plans to launch a standalone application for Grok in December.
