TechFlow news, December 23 — Andre Cronje, co-founder of Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom), posted on X stating that despite complying with all regulations, he has endured nearly two years of difficult discussions with regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
He also noted a shift in user preferences, with many now favoring teams and products over immutable code. Cronje said builders face tough choices: either commit to decentralization and immutability, risking criticism, regulatory hurdles, and lack of rewards; or incorporate as a company, obtain licenses, maintain access control, and continuously improve.
