TechFlow news, December 20 — Sophon, a modular blockchain based on ZKsync, has released its mining migration schedule. The migration will be conducted in four phases:
Phase One (December 19, 23:59 UTC):
• L1 mining stops accepting new deposits
• Optional L1 withdrawal window opens
• Users may choose to withdraw or wait for automatic cross-chain transfer
Phase Two (December 26, 23:59 UTC):
• L1 withdrawal window closes
• All remaining assets not withdrawn will be automatically bridged to the Sophon mainnet
• Reminder: Assets withdrawn from L1 farms before this phase will not qualify for Phase Two SP points
Phase Three (December 27):
• Completion of automatic cross-chain transfers for all remaining assets
• End of Phase One SP points accumulation
Phase Four (December 28):
• Official launch of mining on the Sophon mainnet
• Start of Phase Two SP points accumulation
• Introduction of a USD-based reward distribution mechanism to ensure fairer allocation
• Support for gas-free mining, enhancing the user mining experience
