TechFlow reported on December 12 that Thomas Peterffy, founder of Interactive Brokers—a brokerage firm with a market capitalization of $53 billion—recently shared his views on Bitcoin investment. He recommended investors allocate 2% to 3% of their net worth to Bitcoin, while emphasizing that the platform caps clients' Bitcoin investments at 10% of their total assets.
Peterffy expressed concerns over cryptocurrency price volatility, stating he believes Bitcoin, like fiat currency, "has no intrinsic value." Nevertheless, he advised holding a modest amount. Since 2021, Interactive Brokers has offered customers trading services for cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and BCH through a partnership with Paxos Trust Co.
