TechFlow news — On December 12, according to Bloomberg, the city council of Vancouver, Canada passed a "Bitcoin-friendly city" resolution, exploring the use of Bitcoin in municipal finances. Before the council vote, Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim said in an interview that although the idea has been under consideration for a long time, the public was not previously ready. Now, influenced by changes in U.S. political dynamics, multiple countries and regions are beginning to pay attention to cryptocurrency policies, and Vancouver aims to seize the opportunity early in this trend.
Since first proposing the policy at the end of November, Sim has repeatedly expressed his strong belief in Bitcoin. He has called Bitcoin "the greatest invention in human history" and predicted that traditional fiat currencies will eventually fall to "zero value." While emphasizing that he is not qualified to give investment advice, Sim believes that the "potential" value Bitcoin currently shows represents only a small fraction of its future worth.
