TechFlow News — On December 11, Bitget announced plans to establish a European regional hub in Lithuania. The company has already completed its cryptocurrency business registration in Lithuania and is preparing for compliance under MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation), including setting up a local office and hiring compliance and operations teams.
Bitget's Chief Legal Officer, Hon Ng, said: "Establishing our European regional center in Lithuania is a key step in deepening our presence in the EU market. We aim to support the development of the region's crypto ecosystem while adhering to the highest standards of security and compliance."
Compliance remains a top priority for Bitget, which has already obtained licenses in major markets including Poland, Australia, and Italy. Recently, Bitget has re-entered the UK market, offering compliant crypto services to users. Additionally, the company is currently pursuing registration or licensing in over 15 jurisdictions worldwide.
